• This Plugin works well for what is stated. Unfortunately, it impacts and causes my drop-down menu to fail.

    When I disable this Plugin, the menu works again.

    Hi there. I hope you had a nice weekend, this is AJ the developer.

    The only thing this plugin does is insert the following meta tag on the site:

    <meta name="format-detection" content="telephone=no">

    It should be impossible for it to break a dropdown menu unless there is a weird bug in iOS or for some really strange reason your theme is making a check to this meta tag and if it exists removing their javascript for the menu dropdown.

    I assume you still have the plugin enabled since I can see meta tag is being added on the site – https://a.cl.ly/P8uD5J8m – so I had a look at on my iPhone/iPad and in the browser using responsive mode and I see that your mobile menus are working as expected.

    I recorded a quick video in the browser: https://a.cl.ly/KouNdgy4

    Perhaps you’ve already been able to fix the issue?

    Hi AJ,
    Thanks for looking at this, but I have caused a bit of a misunderstanding and wasn’t clear with my problem. Let me clear it up –

    The Menu itself does work, but the Sub-Menu (which exists under the Gallery option), does not work. Please try to click on “Gallery” on the main menu to test functionality. I have left the plugin active so you can test functionality.

    Many thanks

    Hi,

    I can see that the submenus aren’t working on mobile (it’s re-createable in the browser as well) but even deleting the meta tag won’t fix the issue. Here is a quick video: https://a.cl.ly/04ud2rP9

    If you notice at the end of the video also you can see that a classname “focused” is being added to the gallery menu item when clicking on it, but it’s not really doing anything which would imply that the error is most likely CSS related. I couldn’t see any CSS applied for mobile to the focused class.

    It really wouldn’t make sense how the meta tag could break anything on the site though, it literally should be impossible. The only thing the meta tag does is tell the browser that telephone numbers in the HTML content should not appear as links. This is very strange indeed and I’m almost wondering if something else on the site broke and maybe disabling the plugin didn’t necessary fix it – for example when you enable/disable plugins some optimization/caching plugins get reset and perhaps that’s what actually fixed/caused issues – not the plugin itself but the action of enabling/disabling it.

    Can you disable the plugin so I can have a look with it disabled? I stored a copy of the site’s source code to compare it now and with the plugin disabled.

    Did you by any chance already contact the theme developer about the issue already? I’m also seeing your mobile menu background doesn’t expand fully, the mobile menu “close” text is black so it’s very hard to read and the search icon on the top right isn’t working either. All of which you’ll probably want to fix up as well.
