After update, it throws “Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version “>=7.2.0”.

    Hi @americiu,

Could you send us a screenshot of where you’re seeing this error?

WordPress generally recommends PHP?version 7.4 or greater. See here: Requirements – www.remarpro.com

As WordPress is continuously updating, most plugins will require a minimum PHP version too.

Please get in touch with your host about updating your PHP version.

Let us know if you have other questions.

    Hi, @kimmyx,

The error was on the whole website. Nothing worked until I removed the plugin.

Unfortunelly I can’t update the PHP version, there is an old piece of software on the server that requires PHP 7.1.

But this plugin is marked as working for “PHP version 5.6 or higher”, which is not true, because it breaks the 7.1. If it isn’t marked like this, WordPress won’t allow its update on 7.1.

@americiu – This indicates your not using WP in a normal way, correct? Your using composer to install plugins?

If so even then its incorrect, our plugin only requires 5.6 to boot.

Some of our composer dev dependencies require 7.4, but your site shouldn’t be installing those.

Not sure this is related to our plugin as we don’t require 7.2 anywhere, not even in composer.json config.

That said going forward in v1.21.0 or v1.22.0 we will be raising the minimum requirements, you can read about that on our blog: https://wppopupmaker.com/announcements/upcoming-php-wp-requirement-changes/
