• The plugin blocks me out even though I did not block my country.

    After I log out, and click on my site front end main homepage….I am shocked to see that I am getting the Forbidden Message.

    Previously, I could access my own site, but not now?

    If I am logged in, then only I can view my own site. I only blocked the usual suspects – Russia, Ukraine, China. Maybe Turkey will be next. That still doesn’t stop these countries from coming though.

    But that is besides the point – Why is my country being blocked when I never listed it???

    Do you use a caching plugin or other caching solution?

    What does the logging tab say. On the backend tab the plugin tells you which IP address you are using and to which country it belongs to. Perhaps your ip addeess is listed in the MaxMind database to the wrong country?

    What happens if you whitelist your ip address

    I’ve been having this problem, too. I’ve whitelisted my IP each time. (It changes.) I’ve tried specifying only the countries I want to block and trying the inverse (chosing only the countries to allow). Neither seems to work. The log doesn’t even show my country being blocked, but I keep getting blocked out from the front end.

    My friend just told me that he got blocked as well. He was either visiting from Germany or Finland. I have never blocked these countries.

    Looks like I may need to deactivate the plugin since it is so inaccurate.
