• For me THE perfect wordpress theme, clear, light, with a full-width flexible page and a really discreet sidebar which doesn’t catch the attention when you’re trying to read a post (I can say the sidebar is like my wardrobe : I can put (and hide, lol) all my mess in it, and take it out only when I need it!). In a word : I LOVE this theme (and I am really grateful to its author who made a remarkable job and replied to my questions really fastly!)
If I had some “remarks” : I had to resize the sidebar which was a little bit too large once opened and took a full half of the page, I think it’s better when it’s smaller ??
And maybe it could be great to add some option to enable the user (me, héhé ^^) to add his own header ??
Thanks for this theme I think I’ll use for a looooong time.
(And once again, sorry for the bad “frenglish”).

    Thanks ??
To the header: Should it be there instead of the Blog-Title and the Description, or as the background of it …?

I think it’s possible to remove the titles directly in wordpress (Option > General or something like that), so maybe it’s great if it is just the background ??

Okay, I will think about it ??

I will add the possibility to add a background-image for the header in the next update ??

I just love Fanoe — it has the most attractive, tasteful look. Beautiful design! I like the fact that elements are centered, as well. So far, I am finding it easy to modify.

But I too have a problem with the header. I am trying to use a small image file in place of the text. But every time I uncheck the box for “Show header text with your image,” it will not save this choice. It always checks the box again, automatically. Then I have the header image with the unwanted header text written over it, which looks terrible.

Yes, that’s a silly Problem … You have to uncheck the box on the Theme Customizer. Go to Appearence>Customize and then to the point “Header”.
    This should work.

Hmmm … I went to Appearance, then Header, and unchecked the box, and it automatically re-checked the box again when I tried to save the change. I also went to Appearance, then Customize, and under Header it shows my little image, but there is no box to check or uncheck, only an option to change the size of the header image.

Oh sorry, in the Customizer the Option is under “Site Title & Tagline”. The Option from the Header-Page is overwritten by this option and I have not found a way to fix it …

You are absolutely right!! That changed it. Thank you so much for your help!! It might have taken me years to find that option. ??

No Problem, have fun with Fanoe ??

Sorry, Florian, I have another question. Is it possible to edit the sidebar? Change the number and wording of the headings, etc?

    Florian Brinkmann

    (@webdesign-florian-brinkmann)

Change the number and wording of the headings, etc

What did you mean with this? The Headings are the Headings from the widgets. Only the “Copyright” Heading can’t be changed.

Oh … I see. Duh!!! I apologize … I am new to WordPress.
