Ha, thanks for the suggestion! ?? However, buying Path is not something that we’re looking at doing, so we will be removing the Publicize connection soon. Cheers!

LOL Richard, I was joking obviously. I didn’t really think Automattic was looking for a social network platform.

However, I would like to add that when scheduling posts, the Jetpack Publicize feature is not working. I thought it was a PATH connection issue, but after removing PATH, I scheduled another post and it does not send to the existing social media connections, even if they are turned on.

I discovered the PATH connectivity issue while researching why Jetpath’s Publicize was not working. I also received notification directly from PATH saying they were closing. I removed the PATH connection in Publicize, but the feature is not working for any of the other connections either.

I’m not really worried about privacy of the link. It’s a LIVE website, so I want people to see it.

    The URL is: https://tyrochristian.org/

Huh, that’s weird! I can see that this post wasn’t sent to your Publicize connections:

    https://tyrochristian.org/2018/10/10/hide-them-in-your-heart-week-6/

One thing I notice, though, is that the username of the post author is different from the username of the owner of the Publicize connections (for privacy reasons, I won’t list them here), BUT the Publicize connections aren’t listed as Shared. That’s probably the problem here. As mentioned here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/publicize/

When you add new connections, you have the option to decide whether it will be available to just your account or all of the other users on the blog as well. To make the connection available to everyone, just check the prompt for that at the time you add the connection.

So my suggestion is to remove the Publicize connections and re-add them, this time making them available to everyone, and then try a scheduled post again.

Let me know how it goes!

Thank you sir. I’ll apprise you of the results.

@richardmtl – the publicize services have been updated to share with all authors and I have a post scheduled to go out this evening at 20:00 CST. So, we’ll see if it works correctly this time.

    Thanks!

Hi! It looks like the latest post publicized properly; did you need any more help with this?

    (@bamajr)

Yes @supernovia, publicize did work properly. I just hadn’t had time to come back over here to let everyone know. Sorry about that!
