The parent theme is missing.

I’m new to WordPress, but familiar with stylesheets. Would be very grateful for any help on the following:

I’m trying to create a child template, using the Default template as my parent.

I have created a new folder called “fable” under wordpress/wp-content/themes to hold the “child”. I’ve created a stylesheet called style.css and it contains the following:
