The parent page drop down menu has disappeared

  • Very bizarre….

    I was working on my wordpress website a few days ago and was able to make child pages for a parent page.

    I want to add another child page under the same parent page but the drop down menu allowing me to do this has disappeared!

    What have done wrong?
