  • Try the dev version, that does more checks on the files that are downloaded during the test. You can replicate the test by using a logged out browser, load the page, view source, reload page and view source. If the timestamp at the end of the page is the same then it’s cached.

Sometimes the tester fails due to the local configuration of the server.

OK, Thank you for speedy responce. I tried what you suggest re – logged out browser and the same time each time.

<!– Dynamic page generated in 0.423 seconds. –>
    <!– Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2011-08-11 15:54:49 –>
    <!– super cache –>

    Does that mean it’s working?

I don’t want to try a different version at the moment as I am following a training program that I should stick to at least until for now. Just that the main support person is on holiday at the moment – he deserves that :).

    Yeah, it’s working.

I’m having this problem and it does not show cached pages on a logged out browser.

I have what I think to be the exact same set up on:

    https://www.centersquarejournal.com

and it seems to be caching just fine.

I’ve gone through the FAQ suggested steps, and done a clean install of the plugin and WP 3.2.1. I’ve also weeded out plugins with ob_start and supercache disabling lines.

When running debug, I get this error consistently:

No wp-cache file exists. Must generate a new one.

Any thoughts on what to do next?

Have you tried running the development version? That may help but otherwise you may have to dig into the plugin code to debug it yourself.

Can you post your debug log to pastebin and post the url here?
