“The option you selected is not valid”

If I delete options from a dropdown selection field, not all remaining get accepted on submit.

Example:

1) add dropdown field with options A,B,C,X,Y,Z
2) delete B,C (options that have some middle value id’s)
3) observe: not possible to select Y,Z -> The option you selected is not valid. Please make another choice.
(it concerns at first sight options with value id that is bigger than the current total number?)

other bug:
add as options: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
save + edit: delete 3
save + edit
oberseve: field has options 1, 2, 4, 5, 5 in editing mode
