Thanks a lot to Phi, the creator of this great WordPress plugin; if you are looking for some ‘Meta Field Block magic’ in Gutenberg, look no further.

I don’t even know PHP and was able to pull some meta fields at the front, without coding anything! I don’t even understand where and how to insert the extra codes in Templates, because before I wan’t using Gutenberg, so the block ‘business’ is all new to me, and so far I am loving it!

My configuration is as follow: WordPress / Gutenberg and the incredible 2024 theme. Now, with Meta Field Block!

    Thanks a ton Phi,

    Gin

    Hi Phi,

    My pleasure!

Maybe an option to add a custom SVG icon before the field would be nice, but for now we can always add an Icon Block in front of the Meta Field Block, so it’s all good anyway – I am very happy!

PS: Still can’t believe it I add search through the WordPress repository over and over through tons if pages and was going to give up, as this exactly I was looking for.

You see I didn’t want to install a huge plugin just to add a couple of Meta Fields at the front end, performance wise it didn’t make sense, so Meta FIeld Block is perfect and I hope you’ll keep it light ??

    Thank again,
    Gin

    Hi Gin,

Thank you for your suggestion about adding a custom SVG icon option, and the issue with the row block. I will consider them for future updates. I also have a plan to add some style settings like font size, weight, margin, etc. to prefix and suffix so we can set a custom margin for prefix and suffix. I will let you know when that feature is ready.

I will keep this plugin lightweight, simple and performant.
