The older posts link is not correct after import from older blog

  • I have helped a friend export the content of her old blog and then import the content to her new blog.

    After the import when she click on the link “Older posts” in her new blog, it is not going to the correct Place. Something tells me that I have to change the “Older posts” link so it goes to her older posts on her new blog.

    Where do I do this change?

    Can you try going to Dashboard > settings > permalinks

    Then change the permalink to default and hit save, once done, change the permalink to post-name and see if that helps.

    Hi Vaughan. It was set to default so I changed the permalink to post-name and saved it and then put it back to default again and saved it. Now it seems correct to me but I want the girl who is having the blog to let me know. Thanks for the solution.

    Hi Vaughan,

    This is interesting. When I click on the “Older Posts” link on her new blog I get to the older posts on her new blog, after fixing this with your suggestion. But the girl who has the blog and a friend of hers get to her website and not to the pages with the older posts in her new blog when they click on the “Older Posts” link. She says she has cleared the history on her computer.

    I am wondering if it has something to do with the cache memory or cookies.
