    Hello @earth_human
This is the way our plugin works
    We haven’t announced other behavior

That’s not entirely true, in the admin area and in several places in the plugin it’s referred to as “WhatsApp Chat”, it isn’t WhatsApp Chat.

nsbrown, that’s true. Not only is it not whatsapp chat, the plugin doesn’t offer any chat functionality at all. The plugin may be useful for some situations, but it should have a more honest name. Maybe it should be named “bait your visitors with a chat box and then dump them off at Whatsapp Web — even if they don’t have a whatsapp account”

    Hello guys

What you’re asking is not possible, WhatsApp doesn’t allow to send messages outside WhatsApp

you can see that the redirection is explained here:

Key phrases: “their first message”, “will be redirected”

“With WhatsApp chat for WordPress, you can include a chatbox for each agent where users can type their first message.

When your visitors click the send button, they will be redirected to the WhatsApp web or app depending on the device they’re using.”
