• Since Disqus changed their API around 3 weeks ago, they are no longer syncing WordPress comments automatically. They now actually state this on their plugin – see their quote below:

“Disqus has replaced the default WordPress commenting system. You may access and edit the comments in your database, but any actions performed there will not be reflected in Disqus”.

I have tried to enable auto syncing but it is not working. Prior to the Disqus change, the correct number of reader comments is displayed on our home page. Since the change, all posts are showing as 0 comments on the home page when they do indeed have comments.

Please could you explain how to resolve this issue which is affecting many users.

  • Same issue here, wtf happened to this plugin? Was it bought out or something? Been using it for years but after the update, not sure which, the plugin is simply f’d up. Look at the rating/customer complaints.
