The number of Ads count

hi,
is there a way to reset (re-count) the Published Ads?
My site seem to be showing a different amount just above the Map to what you can count in the sidebar amount.
Also if i look at the ads it says 39 published, the main page is showing 36 above the map?
I can guess that an ad in the very top location may not show but that only accounts for 1 missing from the count.
