    I noticed that it is possible to use any name for the category like wp_set_consent("something", "allow").

    Is it intentional that you want to give CMPs full flexibility?

    Since your plugin standardizes consent management, I think it would be good to cast the 5 categories in your documentation into the code and only maybe give CMPs a hook to extend the categories so that it is a much more conscious decision. (and make CMPs aware of the risks if they do)
