Check on your blog page list panel, seek for a page named “Newsletter” which has been created by the plugin and verify it is published and that it contains only the [newsletter] shortcode.
    Stefano.

I have a similar problem. I know my page named “Newsletter” is not published because I don’t want other people to subscribe. I have my own internal list of subscribers maintained manually. I have an option of turning the newsletter page into “Draft” or “Pending Review”, changing the visibility to “Password Protected” or “Private”, or deleting the “Newsletter” page at all. What is the best way to deal with this and avoid that error message?

Enter the settings page and set the newsletter page to unstyled page.

    Thank you!
Can I also delete the “Newsletter” page created by the plugin?

It’s better is you leave it there, otherwise it could be recreated. I’m checking the code which probably needs a fix.

Leaving it published could be a security issue on some sites because anybody can go on the web site /newsletter, subscribe and get the information that is not supposed to be seen by that person.

The subscription is a service, there is no need for a published page to subscribe, if you’re enough skilled.

You should put your subscriber in a private list and send newsletter only to people in that list.

The fact of the matter is that I am NOT skilled in what I am doing. I am 70 years old and it took a while for me to figure out how to use HTML. All I want to do is use Newsletter to send out a Newsletter to all of our subscribers. I thought Newsletter would automatically integrate with the WP users. I find the product overly complicated. I do not want to use it to get subscribers.

Where I can get someone to help me set this up?

What the hell does TAGS mean?

Yes, but in my case I don’t want anybody even to see the subscription page, subscribe and expect newsletters. I don’t want my subscribers database get filled with strange names which I will never want to use.

If I change it into “Draft” or “Pending Review”, or change the visibility to “Password Protected” or “Private”, will the newsletter plugin update change the state into a regular published page, or it will keep the page in it’s previous state?

Hi, on main settings you can set the plugin to use an unstyled page… but if the plugin is installed, you can receive subscription (even fake subscription) there is no need for a subscription page…

    Stefano.
