The news does not appear in Google News

Hi Tamol,

I’m using an Android phone in the US, and using the Google News app your articles appear and look good. No problem at all.

Are you using an Apple phone? I don’t have a way to test with one here.

Google News used to display a website’s AMP pages on their news App, but has recently changed to using the site’s mobile page. The did that first with the Android Google News app… I don’t know if they have made the change on iOS yet,

I should clarify, they used to either display AMP or render the article from the feed if AMP was not available. On Android now they use the mobile page… I’m checking to see if they are doing that on Apple phones now too,

How can I cancel the editor’s name in Google News?
Specifically on phones, the name of the editor appears. What is the way to remove the name?

Can you upload a screenshot with the editor name circled so I understand where you are talking about? ??

I don’t want the editors’ names to appear in Google News. What to do?

Hi Tamol,

Sorry I had missed that last message.

Google News includes the author’s name, that’s standard. If you are using an editor’s name in your byline instead of an author name, that’s what they will use.

I would suggest not trying to remove the name in the byline, as including a byline is an important part of the Google News Policies,
