Migrates Multi-Language (WPML) Sites Flawlessly

  • I’ve used WP Clone by WP Academy for years and haven’t had any issue for the most part. It’s been a go to, lightweight, no nonsense plugin for migrating sites. Until I had to migrate a WordPress site with the WPML (WordPress Multi-lingual Plugin). The site was translated in Chinese and English, and when I moved things over with WP Clone, it choked, keeled over, and died. What a mess! Then I tried to manually move the DB over, something I’ve done x1000 times. But that didn’t work either. Chinese was effin’ things up. Then I found Duplicator. WPML support reps use it, so I gave it a try. It was a one shot, smooth as silk, no hiccups, multi-lingual migration. Boom! Awesome plugin guys!
