The new version is the worst

  • We where a happy user on the old version (0.x) but due to incompatibility with new woocommerce and WordPress we had to migrate to the 1.x version. All looked oké but once we started working with the product we found that several functions are not working or are not even implemented.

    There is only a single developer working on this product, not fulltime. Releases and bug fixes are going very slow. For example returning products you can’t process that on the POS, the receipt got serious issues and bar code scanning is the cashiers worst nightmare( with variations you have to scan it up to 3 times ),

    When you have a serious business think twice to start using this or start testing really good to make sure it delivers what you need on your POS.
    I wouldn’t recommend any one now to start using this product when you have serious business running.

  • Just a few remarks. As 0.x user you knew upfront there is only 1 developer. Many choose WC Pos as it is free for use. Although this plugin should be developed by a team, the achievements made deserve respect. Your bad experience has lead to a rating of 1. The new version 1.7.5 is worth re-evaluating, for many smb companies WC Pos is great, but yes, it takes patience to wait for certain functionality to arrive. If you can afford to wait.. support by upgrading to Pro. In case you can not wait… choose a different one and be prepared to pay the price. For us the new version satisfies our need and we support the developer as we are confident he will succeed. We are a Pro user, not fully happy, but sofar the product has become better month by month. Really advise you to evaluate the new version.
