The New UI Conflicts With WordPress Media Uploading
-
Ok, I like the new UI, but there are a few things that need to be addressed in this plugin.
As of now, the z-index of the plugin places it above all other page elements.
I don’t know if you guys actually use WordPress, but the featured images and media upload buttons, along with other buttons used by wordpress in the lower right corner, is completely obscured by your chat elements. We cannot click them without clicking on the chat plugin icons.
Worse still, because you guys do not allow for any modification of your plugin’s CSS files, I have to either:
1. Open the chat and then minimize it every single time just to click the buttons in WordPress when uploading media or updating plugins.
OR
2. I have to modify the z-index for the UI elements in WordPress itself so that the chat is forced behind these windows.
This is quite a pain since these files are erased every time WordPress updates itself, we need a better solution.
Another issue I have with the new update, why did you guys take away the old emoticons?
Not only did you do that, but you removed any ability to customize the keyboard shortcuts for these new emoticons and the adding or replacing of new ones.
These new ones with the UI are about 50% too small, the faces are not differentiated enough to actually see (without literally trying to zoom in and see), and we have tons of useless animal characters and other signs/pictures that do not have any pertinence to a fast moving chat where you want to get across simple emotions.
