That is to be determined. Upgrading the plugin to 7 should be part of a major re-factor. Simply changing the version from 6.12 to 7 will require more than just a simple change because of the differences between the two player versions. I did a test locally and used 7 on my own local WP install, but custom skins, etc, would not work, because of the change from XML skins to CSS skins, so that is something that wouldn’t work right off the bat. The upgrade of the WP plugin is going to be part of a larger conversation here about refactoring the plugin in general, as it is in need of an upgrade for sure.

Do you know where the new documentation will be posted for the change once released? I want to make sure everything is working on my site without any downtime.

Most likely on https://support.jwplayer.com/. I can’t share an ETA for the release, though.

If possible, when JW Player 7 for WordPress is released, can you make sure that it does not break all of my videos that are using WordPress JW Player 6?

I want to make sure I can migrate them to 7 but I would like for them to still work in 6 until I can make changes for JW Player 7.

We will have to see what approach we end up taking, if it will be a new plugin entirely, or just an upgrade to the existing one.

I will be eagerly awaiting any updates.
We just purchased the premium version, and just discovered some missing critical features due to the plugin only being version 6. (Live DVR, for example)

Live DVR works in JW6 and JW7.

    any news?
