• This plugin sends you (allegedly) weekly summaries from which you can’t unsubscribe, because they send it from your actual email account, something quite strange and for which I absolutely never agreed and the only way to unsubscribe is accessing the wordpress management site and removingthe whole thing like it never happened.

Not just that, in those summaries, they inform you that you’ve received a number of contact forms that actually nobody sent. It’s extremely easy to check this, just fill a form by yourself and you’ll receive it on your configured email account, so beyond that one, you are not receiving any at all, it’s just a disgusting and extremely annoying marketing maneuver, in order to make this piece of … plugin as annoyingly visible as possible, which, in my case, is achieving exactly the opposite: making me login into a site I never log, just to come as angry as a hellfire rain, in order to write the longest review I’ve ever written, and I promise you all I’ve said is true.

So help me God, if I manage to prevent just ONE of you to use this useless piece of s…software, I would consider it a complete success.

    An extremely furious user.

PS: 99,9 % of the 5 stars reviews given to this plugin comes from massive voting farms, just check out a few of them and you’ll realize.

  • Hi @kaladin182,

Thanks for taking the time in leaving your feedback and I apologize for any trouble you’ve faced so far using WPForms Lite.

I’m happy to clarify the items that you mentioned about the email summaries and the reviews.

Email summaries are sent to the site admin email address that you can find in WP Admin > Settings > General > Administration Email Address. You also have the option to disable this email summaries in WPForms > Settings > Misc. Please check this guide on how to get that done.

The email summaries also contain the running count of the entries that are submitted through the forms. If you’re not receiving any of those entries, it is most likely that there is an issue with your site’s email deliverability. To troubleshoot the issue, you can check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.

If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely because the emails sent from WordPress are not authenticated (unlike emails sent directly from dedicated email service providers). As a result, they are likely to be filtered by the receiving mail server.

To resolve email delivery issues like this, you can configure a SMTP plugin on your site so that emails are sent as authenticated. We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

Lastly, we do not engage and get reviews from any external source and only from our genuine users who find WPForms Lite helpful.

And if you’d like more help with using WPForms Lite, please feel welcome to post in our WPForms Lite support forum.

    Thank you.
