The Morning After Theme – Problem with Images

    I am working on my site, https://freesolarpanel.info/ and am having problems with a few things.

    Not sure if it is worth mentioning but I am using a WPMU install.

    1/. The preview images are not visible for the ‘recent posts’ section and I can’t for the life of me understand why.

    2/. Images do not show within the posts even if they are inserted into the post and not just as the featured image. The option to display images in single posts has been checked but does not appear to make a difference.

    3/. Is it possible to change the number of ‘latest posts’ visible on the homepage? Making sticky simply replaces the latest with the last post to be marked as sticky. If at all possible i’d really like it to follow the format of ‘latest post’ 1 followed by the featured posts then below them the other chosen ‘latest post(s)’.

    4/. There don’t seem to be any custom post formats within posts and similarly I cannot find the options to use the ‘updates’ widget advertised on the theme home page.

    Any help with any or all of the above would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi – I’m also having issues, so I’m not sure whether I can help you, but I’ll try answering #2 (the only one I can really help you with).

    Have you been using images that you’ve uploaded into your Media>Library? If so, have you been clicking the HTML tab in edit mode, then the “img” button to insert your images? This has been working for me. If you’ve been linking to outside images, it’s possible the template is blocking hotlinking to offsite images.

    However, I have a question that you might have the solution for. Are any of the images you’re using for your latest post showing up on the front page along with the excerpt of that latest post? I can’t figure out how to get that image to show up, as in the thumbnail example of the theme when I chose it.

    Well, just looked at your site, and it looks like you fixed your issue, and mine as well! I may contact you directly to find out how you did that!

    yep… guys, I have the same issue (thumbnail images) – can you tell me how you fixed this? ??
