The "missing" members-list shortcode **!!@

Upon first installing Members in WP 3.8.1 (great plugin BTW), I created a page (child page in order to create menu sub-entry) with the [members-list] short code. Today, I discovered that the character string “[members-list]” no longer appears; however, the Members plugin still acts like it is still there and lists the members as it always has (the reason that I didn’t see this before now). This is not a complaint, but I’m wondering why the plugin is still processing the string that isn’t there anymore. I’m assuming that one of the several intervening WP updates is what wiped out the string. Is this just a matter of de-installing Members and re-installing the plugin or is the a less drastic remedy available ?
