I’m sorry you’re still having issues, hopefully I can help you solve them. Within your server’s error log, is there any output that might be helpful in debugging this? The PHP version is the only requirement that would make activation fail and this sounds like more of a bug than a failed requirement.

Also, is there any message that gets displayed upon activation other than the general Plugin cannot be activated message?

@dsmr, I’d really like to assist you with the issues you’ve been having with the plugin, but can’t do much without more info.

Any chance we can get more info to try to debug the issues?

When I try to activate the plugin, it tells me:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

The minimum PHP version required for this plugin is 5.3.0″

Is it possible to upload an earlier version, perhaps? I’m on WordPress, and the theme is Gympress, and I need this to be able to upload the widgets… Help! https://www.lauraclaycomb.com/spaziopilates/

    Thanks.

    Hi Laura,

You can try going to the Developers tab for the plugin and downloading version 1.0 which is the last version where we supported < PHP 5.3.0.

Here is a direct link to make it easy.

Let me know if you’re still having issues.

Marking as resolved due to no response from OP.

    Hi Kevin,

I’m not sure if the others resolved this but I’m having the same problem – I install fine then when I try to activate I get the same message:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error:
The minimum PHP version required for this plugin is 5.3.0

My hosting is GoDaddy wordpress so I assume everything should be up to date. No other problems, just this.

I’m sure I have the latest version of everything so not sure what to do.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Daniel,

It looks like GoDaddy has PHP 5.3 available, though your account may not be using it.

Check out this support page: https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/3937/viewing-or-changing-your-php-language-version

Please report back once you’ve confirmed your account is using PHP 5.3 or above.

    Hope this helps!

    I have the same issue.
The PHP server version is 5.4.24. The server is Bluehost.
The previous version of the plug-in doesn′t helped.

    Any ideia?

Sorry guys, but it looks a Plug-in bug…
    Thks for your work,
    Claudian

    Well.. Forget it.
The 1.0 version of the plug-in worked.

    Yuhuu.
    ??

I’m using PHP 5.4 and this plugin still will not work. The other, similar plugin does not recognize the json extension.

Thank you for trying out the plugin @claudiandobos. I’d like to try to resolve the issues you’re experiencing, but first I’d like to inform you that the best way to ensure a response is to open a new support thread instead of replying to a closed one. Many shared host services (bluehost, hostgator, and godaddy) offer PHP 5.3 or 5.4 but by default have 5.2 active. Please verify the php version by creating a simple php file with just either <?php echo phpversion() or <?php phpinfo(); as the file contents to verify the php version.

@kimberlyholmes, I’ve replied to you already in the thread you started. Please continue to reply there. Thank you!
