The menu is not updated with the new language

  • Congratulations. With this plugin the translation process is very simple and intuitive.
    I have translated all the character strings on this site but I have two problems that I don’t know if they are related.

    1. When I change language (from Spanish to English) the “Floating language selection” is not updated. The flag of the original language (Spanish) is still displayed, it doesn’t change.

    2. The content of the web page is correctly translated into English but the menu are still shown in Spanish and the URLs does not change either.

    I have exactly the same issue.

    Changing language either in the menu item, or “floating language selector”, does change the content, but main manu still unchanged.

    2nd Issue I see is that sometimes, the translate button takes you to the main page/home, instead of translating the page you were in.

    I hope this ticket gets resolved quick.

    Ok so I′ve been checking stuff and I found the following weird behaviours:

    1) Pressing once the Language Selector (either in menu or in floating selector) it does change the content but it doesnt update the language name/flag, however pressing twice (or F5/refresh in browser) it does the change correctly.

    2) only when having selected the correct flag/language, you can navigate the site in the selected language, however, not pressing twice the language selector or refreshing the page it does not allow to navigate in the new selected language, it seems to show random URL or redirect to homepage.

    Hope this gets a fix soon.

    My WordPress theme has a transition effect.
    I have verified that if I deactivate this effect, the menu is updated correctly when the language is changed.

    Following @jegofer idea… in the Theme I′m using, called “Sonaar” by “Iron Temaplates” I deactivated the AJAX continuous audio player and the problem is gone… I don′t continuous audio playing across the website, but then menu works perfectly fine… in case this helps anybody.

    I told the developers of the Theme, but would be cool if support of the “Translate Press Multiluingual” plugin check it out too, in case there can be a future fix.
