• I read previous posts on this topic that are similar, but not the same. I have uploaded visitor-maps and visitor-maps-geoip to my site. I have uploaded GeoLiteCity.dat to the visitor-maps-geoip folder, and have changed all permissions to 644. My plugins are all uploaded to chat-content folder instead of wp-content, so I also tried creating wp-content and uploading everything to that folder as well.

The message I get is: The Maxmind GeoLiteCity database is not yet installed. Install Now (even though I uploaded manually via FTP). When I try to install I get the following errors:

Warning: require_once(/home/chat/public_html/wp-content/plugins/visitor-maps-geoip/class-wo-update.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/chat/public_html/chat-content/plugins/visitor-maps/visitor-maps-admin.php on line 11

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/chat/public_html/wp-content/plugins/visitor-maps-geoip/class-wo-update.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/chat/public_html/chat-content/plugins/visitor-maps/visitor-maps-admin.php on line 11

Would appreciate any help. Many thanks!

  • Hi have to tried to delete both the plugin and the add-on and then installing a fresh copy?

I’ll give it a try. Thanks!

Hi, how did you go with my suggestion?

Thank you for following up. To be honest I’m having so many problems with Membership2 Pro plugin that I now can’t even begin to test any other plugins until they get my login and privacy issues resolved.

Once those things are fixed I can get back to trying to add your plugin.

Much appreciated for the follow-up. I will definitely get back to it once all the other stuff is fixed.

Hi, yes I tried your suggestion. I deleted both plugins, cleared cache. Installed both plugins and activated with no problem. All went well until I tried to install Maxmind GeoLite City Database. Then I get the following errors:

Warning: require_once(/home/chat/public_html/wp-content/plugins/visitor-maps-geoip/class-wo-update.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/chat/public_html/chat-content/plugins/visitor-maps/visitor-maps-admin.php on line 11

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/chat/public_html/wp-content/plugins/visitor-maps-geoip/class-wo-update.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/chat/public_html/chat-content/plugins/visitor-maps/visitor-maps-admin.php on line 11

After this I FTP’d the GeoLiteCity.dat file to visitor-maps-geoip folder but nothing changes. I still get the error.

It’s exactly what happened the first time. Any other ideas?

Hi, I have submitted an e-mail to the developer to investigate further your issue.
