When mega menu is enabled the main navigation menu drops out of its correct position in the header and appears below the header. This is not where I want it or where it is supposed to be and it looks rubbish. This plug in is useless unless it leaves the original menus in their correct location so I assume it is some kind of compatibility issue. I am using shopkeeper theme fully up to date and fully up to date wordpress. Has anybody else experienced this? Btw, this also happens with WP Mega Menus as well.

    Hi Robert,

I assume it is some kind of compatibility issue

That’s correct. Please can you see this page, the “Align menu with logo” section:

    https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/shopkeeper/

As you can see, there are lots of integration issues between MMM and that particular theme (ones that Max Mega Menu cannot solve automatically, due to the nature of the way themes and mega menu plugins work), making it probably one of the most difficult themes to integrate MMM (or any mega menu plugin) with.

Depending on what you want to do, you may find it easier to keep and modify the existing theme menu. Looking at the Shopkeeper demo, it appears to have mega menu functionality built in.

    Regards,
    Tom

    Hey thanks Tom!

I didn’t even know about the theme’s built in mega-menu funtionality. It seems I don’t need the plug in after all. No wonder it didn’t work. None of the other plug ins worked either.

    Regards,

    Robert.
