The “look” of my dashboard has changed for no apparent reason

  • I have this exact same problem, but only on one of my WP sites! The others are fine. I don’t remember changing anything at all on this site. Did you ever figure out what the problem was & get it corrected?

    This usually means that your site has been hacked. There are lots of posts on this forum about it, Just search for the word hacked and you will see lots of suggestions. Look for threads that are marked resolved in particular.

    p.s. You should be running a firewall.

    ss minnow, where can a person get and run firewalls? i’m very new. perhaps my web host has a nice firewall already set up for me? or perhaps there is such thing as a firewall plugin? how does that work …

    Sure there is a WordPress Firewall plugin.
