• I’m using Events Calendar by Modern Tribe on this site: https://www.gablesguide.com/events/

After installing this plug-in, I can choose my calendar, choose the date range and choose several basic formatting options, but that’s it. It just keeps spinning and I never get past that point. The little circle to the right of the button “Generate Newsletter Formatted Events” just keeps spinning. Do you have some clues as to what might get me past this error? Thanks in advance

My event featured images are all 64 pixels square, bit I don’t see a choice for that size in your settings. Is this causing a problem?

    Hi @robertburr!

Though it shouldn’t be an issue unless you have a ton of events, have you tried picking a small time frame (ie. a week), assuming you can click on the Generate Newsletter Formatted Events at all?

If that doesn’t work, can you try the following to see if there is a conflict with another plugin somewhere:

    1. Ensure you have a backup of your site in case there are any issues when disabling/enabling plugins or your theme
    2. Disable all plugins (except your calendar plugin and this plugin), and switch to a default theme like Twenty Sixteen then verify the issue is resolved
    3. Re-enable your plugins and switch back to your previous theme one by one verifying if the issue is still occurring, and note which one causes it to break

Let me know which plugin/theme causes the issue and I may be able to come up with a fix, but you’ll also need to contact the theme or plugin author and have them fix the issue.

    Thanks!

WP Super Cache seems to give your plug-in problems. I hope we can find a way to use them together.

Strange, the plugin has been tested with WP Super Cache enabled and it works as expected. Perhaps WP Super Cache is remembering old versions of some of your scripts.

Can you try to disable everything except Event Calendar Newsletter and The Events Calendar (including switching to a default theme), does it work then?

If so then re-enable your plugins and your theme one by one (but leave WP Super Cache disabled) and you can hopefully see which plugin is conflicting.

I appreciate your prompt response. I believe that giving the cache an exception string like /events/ could keep that page from being cached and eliminate that problem, if it’s not an issue that slows down delivery of the events page. Changing themes is problematic since I am using divi and it breaks the custom code elements this unique theme creates. Will advise my results from more testing. I’m inclined to purchase the pro version if I can get a good result.
