    Greetings:

The widget just dissappeared from my wordpress.com site, so I tried to install (v3.3) it via Jetpack on my www.remarpro.com site. It installed, and there is a tab in the ‘menu’ sidebar, so it worked like the “installation” tab said it should. It shows as an installed plugin, so it seems to think that it is installed and working…

However, when I am creating or editing a post, there is no sign of any way to edit or find/change related posts to use (like wordpress.com used to have, or like you have in your images on your site.

However, the links show up in the finished post. But they are all mine, and that’s not what I am after. I am looking for the best content elsewhere to link out to.

The site is philosiblog.com, and I have enjoyed using your product, but have no idea what is going wrong. (same behavior running Chrome & Firefox)

Update – in Firefox (but not in Chrome), I can get something…

If I preview the post, and then scroll to the bottom, it has a button (Edit Related Posts) which brings up a pop-up. That allows me to select from a list of related posts, but they are still all mine. I like my posts, but not that much. What am I doing wrong?

Also, I noticed that it is adding new links to old posts, which already have a ‘related posts’ section. Why is it doing that? How do I make it stop?

    Hey,
    thanks for staying with us.

Here’s the thing: this plugin you installed looks slightly different from what you’re used to. It has some other nice features you might start to love, so please bare with me.

First, what you’re describing are related posts from your blog that are automatically added to all your blog posts. You can turn this off in plugin’s settings by un-checking the option “Auto Insert Related Posts”.

Next, you should be able to see the widget with related articles from other bloggers just below the editor.

However, if you want the same look and feel (and related images) you had with the integrated extension on wordpress.com, I suggest you install Editorial Assistant or one of the browser extensions instead.

Hope this clarifies things a bit.
