• thanks to the author. this plugin works. but it is quite slow for selecting and uploading many files, e.g. 200, at one time. my local server has plenty of resources, and i increased the setting for uploading in PHP, but it is still slow.

    another problem is it will create many different sizes for one image, which is unnecessary for me. how can i diable this.

    This plugin does no extra processing, just hands it off to WordPress which is responsible for the speed & extra images.

    Unfortunately although you might have a lot of resources by your standards, that doesn’t mean PHP’s image processing and WordPress upload routines will be fast.

    I’m not sure. That’s WordPress behaviour – and most of those sizes might be used even if you’re not aware of it. You can look into plugins to disable the extra WordPress image sizes, just expect the side effects of that.
