The latest update breaks the web with elementor

Which version of the following do you have installed?

– Elementor
– ezTOC

How are you inserting the TOC into a page/post?

I have everything updated to the latest version, I put the table with a shortcode in each post

At which point does the server 500 error occur? In the admin, when the plugin is activated? Or only on the frontend where a TOC has been inserted? Or somewhere else or other condition?

When trying to enter any of the pages except the home page. Also when trying to create a new page, once created, when trying to enter, it gives an error 500. It also gives an error in the blog posts.

I think I have found the issue and corrected it. Please check your site’s posts.

The issue, was the [elementor-template] shortcode used on the posts. This was causing an infinite loop because of the posts widget used in the template.

Not exactly sure how this will affect everyone else, but I’ve added a filter to exclude the [elementor-template] shortcode when searching the post content for headings.

This works for you, but I wonder if it will for others who do use the templates but not with the posts widget.

I have my web done with Thrive Architects and the problem with these new versions is still there.

I am using version 1.7.1 and works properly, but not with the following versions.

Could you please take a look why with Thrive is not working?

Please do not post in other supports threads, this one is related to Elementor and is resolved (to the best of my knowledge).

This causes confusion and make it difficult for me to provide support. Your support ticket is still open and I’ll will reply to you there when I have more info to report back.
