Try and run another scan and tell me if you see this again.

Re-scanned and the error still there. And what is this?

    Hi!

I have the same issue: Wordfence has been running for months without any problem and suddenly I get the error message “[Apr 05 13:08:34] Scan Engine Error: The key used to start a scan expired. The value is: 142….877 and split is: 142….877,1fa3……………5fd4 and time is: 1428232114”.

Could you help me solve this issue?

    Thanks a lot.

    Cheers

    Claude

Can you screenshot your options page and paste a link here? Make sure and use a photo editing program to blank the key and your alert email address.

After having installed the brand new version of Wordfence this morning it’s working again without any error message. For you info, before that I also had an up-to-date version of the plugin!

So anyway, the problem is solved.

    Thanks for your support, cheers!

We had a patch that was released last night.
    This likely solved it
