    Hi there,

I’ve recently encountered some issues with Variable attributes in WooCommerce.

My language is Chinese, so when I create attributes, I use Chinese as the language, and I also use Chinese as the attribute’s Slug.

When I view the options on the Product page, the Value is displayed as gibberish instead of the correct Chinese.

Since I’m using the Shopee Integration for WooCommerce, when I synchronize products, it uses the attribute’s Slug as the name. This results in gibberish names when synchronized to Shopee.

How can I resolve this issue and have the attribute slug in the Product correctly display Chinese in the option’s value?

    Thank you!

    Hi @slivenred

This seems to be a character encoding issue, likely because WordPress and WooCommerce typically use UTF-8 encoding, which supports a wide range of characters including Chinese.

However, the problem might be with the Shopee Integration for WooCommerce. It’s possible that this plugin doesn’t fully support non-Latin characters in attribute slugs. I suggest reaching out to the developers of the Shopee Integration plugin for further assistance.

In the meantime, you could try using the English language for your attribute slugs, and then use the Chinese language for the attribute names. This way, the correct Chinese characters should display on the product page, and the English slug should synchronize correctly with Shopee.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
