I installed spotlight plugin in order to present my instagram feeds in the Galary page of my website. Firstly I connected one of my instagram account and it worked as expected, but then I decided to remove that account and connect another one, I did exactly the same steps as for the first one, but this time I got an error message:

    >The Instagram API responded with an error: Error #0 [Unknown]: Client error: GET https://graph.instagram.com/26522682874043499/media?access_token=Ge/oGI+XObzYBY8YqZvX1MvweXcDO6R7e6qrXpcWm/bsiRbKIFyPA2PHcwiRXa+dYrzzDMN+7/Yn3mq+d+MlxEiEFJAa/zTe7f2OR0V8H5u5nKyHH4/JbvK+uMTp2wTXO/EsgjUALU4ZebVGklREIiBxDpdMpE3WUCV9k3ju9BGGXBMQYCI7qJ8JVMKOriogiycZDsqSjmtMRPVCxK0+/2OAbAlDef2P0XuwD0d/q65+LIxaHMySMFAIuZdU39Y0V7F+5nFpOHsVVl9YAVKWXmScOBj5TnYkN0ErCul2r14475wFVbNz/raXc+pR9hdTJ8sFpgdHbL1REnJ7hzwWHLmPKzF8AmzYkR5pNR4w8Np9y+G6Npo8WUAVg%3D%3D&fields=id,username,timestamp,caption,media_type,media_url,permalink,children%7Bid,%20media_url,%20media_type,%20permalink,%20thumbnail_url%7D,thumbnail_url&limit=50 resulted in a 400 Bad Request response: Sorry, this content isn’t available right now

As far as I understand it says that there are no feed in the account, but this is not right.

What am I missing here? Why this plugin works for the one account and doesn’t for another one (both of them are personal accounts)?

    Hi @alexeytim

Thanks for reaching out! Upon checking, I noticed that the access token shown in the error message is incorrect, which indicates that the account is not connected properly. Access tokens should starts with “IG” (for personal accounts) or “EA” (for business accounts). Your access token starts with “Ge”.

To fix the issue, I’d suggest to reconnect your Instagram account as explained here.

Please let me know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this.

@hendcorp Thanks for your response! Looks like it helped:) Could you please also navigate me on – is there an option to make the space plugin view take a little wider? I mean if you open a website page on chrome you see that it takes a space in the middle of the screen, but it is not wide enough, I would like to it (eg:) to take twice wide, so the photos would be kind of bigger and more visible for a user. Does it make sense?

    Hi @alexeytim

Thanks for getting back to us! I’m glad to hear that it helped.

Regarding your second question, you can make the feed wider by adjusting the “Feed Width.” To do this, navigate to Instagram Feeds > click on your feed > then click on the Design tab. On the right sidebar, click on Appearance Settings, and set the Feed Width, for example, to 1000px.

For visual guidance, please see this screenshot.

I hope it helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@hendcorp I noticed there’s an option to adjust the post width by setting a specific value, but I’m worried about how it might look on narrower screens. For instance, if I set the width to 2000px, but a user’s screen isn’t that wide, would they see a cropped version of the image or just a part of it?

    Hi @alexeytim

Thanks for getting back to us!

The Spotlight preview can switch between desktop, tablet, and phone views. This enables you to design your feed differently for each device, ensuring that it is fully responsive and looks great everywhere. You can learn more here.

However, after taking a closer look, I noticed that you’re using the Twenty Twenty-Four theme.

The Twenty Twenty-Four theme has a default content width of 620 pixels and a “Wide” width of 1280 pixels. In your case, your feed isn’t wide enough due to the theme, not Spotlight.

I suggest reaching out to the theme developer to see if there’s a way to adjust the content width. I found a support ticket that might be useful for you in their support thread here.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
