Installed the newest version and like so many, the back-end was unworkable slow. Used the rollback plugin and installed 3.0.2. Now I have 600 (SIX HUNDRED) posts that all say “This is an example title – edit by clicking here” and “Modify your meta description by editing it right here” in the SEO Title and meta description.

Each one of these posts had UNIQUE SEO titles and meta descriptions. So now, I need to either reinstall a backup that was created about 20 work hours ago (it’s missing some posts) or spend the next three days recreating titles and descriptions.

I will NEVER buy anything premium from Yoast. SEO, Clickly, or whatever, I’m not touching it. Any new site will have alternate plugins. Sick of being a guinea pig.

ON EDIT: I reinstalled 3.0.4 and the titles and meta descriptions are back…leaving this alive in case anyone else has this issue.

  • I just rolled back to 2.3.5. The whole 3.x version is terrible and bloated.

The worst piece of trash. almost as bad as jetpack and no support. you don’t release a piece of garbage like this then go on holiday. some ecommerce sites use this plugin and are losing money. holiday sales. cyber Monday coming. they should go back to 2.3.5 and start from scratch on 3x version. focusing on quality and clean unbloated code…
