The idea for a future version

I will look into adding a home page only option as a future enhancement in the coming weeks. Perhaps a whitelist and a blacklist of URLs to include/exclude would be a good feature too.

This impressed me! The speed with which you answer and quickly uploaded the update, even a few in a row.

Another idea that goes along with it. Perhaps Preview link in the back-end, which will open a new browser window with hotspots result on the page. Of course, this would have been possible only for the homepage. But a nice addition and a great help to the user.

Yes I agree that a preview button in the backend is desirable.

Some other ideas I have are:
– Record browser and device types so these can be filtered
– Show a small panel in front end to choose screen widths of recorded mouse clicks and change window size accordingly

I’ll be trying to add some of these features soon

Do not give up. You’ll probably find a way to monetize this in the Pro version.

Here’s an idea: you can try to do some of this kind of hybrid. Plugin that will “track travel” per page. Combination hotspots, search engine tracking and demographic tracking visitors. Some kind of hybrid, tools required average webmaster with advanced preferences.

I believe that you already have some good ideas.

I thought I’d let you know version 2.0 has a few extra features. From the settings page you can now quickly go to a URL in a selected window size and it will draw the heat map in a new popup window. There’s now no need to modify the URL to do this.
