    Hi,

I have installed it today for the first time on that site
Had the drop box 59 problem
    Installed the SSL fix plugin
And tried to run a manual back up
    getting the following

The HTTP response test get an error “Failure when receiving data from the peer”

My server does not allow loopback
However I had no issues with manual backup in the last version on other sites

Look forward to any suggestions on how to resolve this

I am not sure why I had all these problems on that site.

I have the same plugin version installed on another site same wp version and no problems at all and no need to do any work arounds

On the site I had the issue with now resolved I installed the plugin for the first time today.

On the other site I installed it about 2 month ago and updated it to the last version in the last few days Have no issues and did not need to do anything to make it work

    On the one installed today
*I had to install the SSL plugin
*I had to put: define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true); into wp-config.php
*And I had to put the following line into the scheduled jobs on my server (HeartInternet):
    /usr/bin/php5 -q /home/sites/domain.co.uk/public_html/wp-cron.php

It works now fine now for manual backup so far.

Again I had to do none of it to make it work on my other site.

I share this info here, in case this helps anyone

Great! Thanks for that. I have sites on Heart too and hit the same problem – error receiving data from the peer.

All I had to do was add the line: define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true); to wpconfig and it now works, thanks to your suggestion. I didn’t need to do anything else to get it to work.
