Upgraded to 3.3 and got the theme bleeding into the admin console so I had read that the “Hotfix” plugin in fixes this so I installed it.

    Problem Fixed.

The theme developer updated their theme to fix this issue. So disable Hotfix and update the theme.

Admin console is clean without the Hotfix plugin.

So I started to test the site.

The Google Analytics code in footer.php does not show up on the web page.

I have my categories setup to use the_content instead of the_excerpt. It shows the_excerpt.

Re-enabled the Hotfix plugin and all is well.

Any ideas as to what’s happening?

    thanks,
    alan

Without the Hotfix plugin everything is now almost working.

I blew out my cache as suggested in the FAQ and now the GA code makes it into the web page and the_content shows the_content instead of the_excerpt which is what I wanted.

I have a small issue with the theme and am addressing that with the theme author.

    thanks much,
    alan

As for why that happens… its most likely your theme has something coded weirdly that’s causing problems. If you tested with a different theme you might see different results.

    Actually this is even weirder.

I downloaded the theme again from the authors web site.

Yesterday when I was banging around I did a cut and paste into the File Manager Editor and just replaced what was their with the original contents of the stylesheet.

    Should have been ok.

At some point in time the stylesheet changed one of the files from jpg to png. And it couldn’t find the file.

After changing the stylesheet to reflect the proper extension everything is working just fine without the hotfix plugin.

    Thanks all,
    alan
