The guide is way out of date

  • After trying to use the guide to set this up with gmail, it became clear quickly that it was out of date. I ended up bouncing up and down the guide trying to workout what was going on and it was pretty much all over the place. Whilst i managed to get the app to suthorise it now has three errors

    SPF

    managed to get this working through my webhost. Works nicely using that method. Star rating changed. Thank you to support for the fast reply as well.

    we’re really sorry that you had a bad experience with our plugin.

    The Gmail mailer is the most difficult one to configure. There are a lot of steps when creating the Google API app. I’m glad you were able to connect the Google app with our plugin in the end.

    Thank you for letting us know about the Gmail mailer guide not being complete. We try to keep it up to date and actually have a few updates for it already scheduled. The Gmail app creation process is also constantly updated by Google, so it’s hard to sometimes catch those changes. We are really thankful for users like you, for letting us know, so we can keep improving.
