• What’s in store for WordPress with regard to AJAX? I can imagine it could be put to great use especially on the admin side of things. Are we able to talk about future features of WordPress. If so, does anyone know what’s in store with regard to AJAX?

  • Interesting…. except that I’ve never lost a post (vide your scenario above) while using Firefox…. they’re always there, a “back button” away….

Personally, I’m not the least interested in more layers of complexity using ajax or anything else. In point of fact, I find the “yellowflash” on the current “incarnation” of this forum’s post setup to be juvenile and silly, simply another case of a programmer doing something because she can, not because it’s of any intrinsic value.

    Agreed

I always Ctrl+A Crtl+C a post before I post it, just incase the page doesn’t load – I learnt to back up anything important a long time ago…

True – that was on IE. Firefox doesn’t lose posts.

I do that too, just in case.

Hey, old thread, but talked about an ajax chat plugin so I figured I would update it. I just released XDTalk, its an instant messenger that uses ajax to allow your registered wordpress visitors to chat with each other in realtime. Go here to get it:

it is also demo’d on my site there, right above the forum last posts area in the sidebar.
