I can’t regenerate thumbnails, I got errors like this:

Skipped Attachment ID 213 (206): The fullsize image file cannot be found in your uploads directory at . Without it, new thumbnail images can’t be generated.

File exist, I think that something is wrong in database because it doesn’t point the right directory, should be “/wp-content/uploads/…” but instead is ” . ”

    How to fix that? :/

    Hey @flamner!

It is difficult to know what may be happening. But I could recommend you deactivate other plugins and set a default theme. Add a new image to a new Post, and confirm if it worked.

If it works, I recommend reactivating the plugins and theme by steps, repeating the tests to understand what can be causing the issue. I hope that you can figure out what’s happening with these tests.

I tried another plugin to rebuild thumbnails, and everything works fine.

hi, I have exactly same problem but in my case the ERROR URL says below

ERROR: The fullsize image file cannot be found in your uploads directory at 2020/08/The-burning-monk-1963.jpg. Without it, new thumbnail images can’t be generated.

now the fullsize image is available here https://www.wikigrewal.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/The-burning-monk-1963.jpg

I have tried both REGEN THUMBNAIL & FORCE THUMB plugins…. same error for most of my images.

    Tried deactivate,uninstall,reinstall.. no benefit.

    Pls help

Hi, after having similar problems, I’ve found that cause was changed default upload dir path wp_upload_dir found in wp-config.php, and that is during customization and optimizations.

    Plugin Authors, thank you, regards
