The Free Version Worked Without a Hitch

I needed to move my site to a different server, so I used this to try and avoid the hassle of getting the new site to match the old one. So I backed up my current site and downloaded the backup file.

I installed the new site and installed only this one plugin and proceeded to restore it. It went off without a hitch!

There were a couple items that made me want to reconsider:

During the backup and getting ready to restore it on the new one, there were notices that “This version of WP STAGING has not been tested with WordPress 6.5.4.”. When I installed the plug-in, WP said that this plug-in was currently updated to work with my version of WP (WP 6.5.4).

Seems a little misleading, but it did work for me despite that. (I chalked it up to it wanted me to pay for an upgrade).

My site is just a test site for me, so it was not worth investing in a pro version, but I do see it’s value if I use it on a site that brings in an income.

Gave it 5-stars, even after the notices.
