The form’s lang attribute has an invalid value

    I am using Contact Form 7 on a WordPress install with ‘de-DE-formal’ language settings.

    The HTML output of Contact Form 7 for the form contains this:

    <div role="form" class="wpcf7" id="wpcf7-f7-p11-o1" lang="de-DE-formal" dir="ltr">

    Unfortunately “de-DE-formal” is an invalid value for the HTML lang attribute.

    Is there any way to correct this? I did not find a filter which was able to filter the div element.

    Any ideas are appreciated!
