    HI

Hi all. I’ve been trying to troubleshoot this for hours. Some customers are trying to flll out the contact form on the website (and has CAPTCHA enabled), and they keep getting this error “The form was unable to submit. Please contact the site administrator.”

ALSO today another customer emailed saying they could NOT submit the form and the “Fields” were blocked so the customer could NOT enter into the fields. Never seen this before.

    3 forms in total.

I have tried disabling all plugins. The forms intermittently work on the website … Sometimes it can be fine for a few days, then a customer emails saying they CANNOT submit the form. WHY would it be having issues?

1 form in particular seems to have this issue more frequently. I even removed recapcha for that form, and still issues intermittently in NOT sending the form.

This is doing my head in. Has anyone else experienced this and HOW to fix this please?

My client is getting frustrated as THEIR CUSTOMERS are complaining that the form on the websites are NOT working … and we need to have the recaptcha working…

    Thanks

    Kristin

  • I am experiencing this but only when users are trying to submit the form on a mobile device. Seems to work fine on desktop.

    Hi @kristinubute,

    Thanks for reaching up!

Please know that problems with form submission often result from a conflict between the cached site and the anti-spam protection feature in WPForms. I recommend taking a look at our guide on troubleshooting cache settings.

To fix this kind of issue, there are some options:

    1) Set a site cache lifespan of around 45 hours should be sufficient to avoid submission errors.

    2) You can change the cache lifetime of the WPForms form token, and for this, please check out this article in the WPForms developer docs. Please note that this requires editing your website’s code, and is recommended for developers.

    3) You can disable the anti-spam protection feature in your forms. If this works for you, you can use one of our other anti-spam options available on WPForms.

In case the issue continues after following the options above, could you please share the URL where is the form? That way, I can take a look to check the issue.

    Thanks!

Hey @kristinubute – I’m Prashant filling in for Ralden.

We haven’t heard back from you since the previous response that my colleague posted, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
