Hi Guys, I am using WordPress SEO Yoast in my website and I am not using the Yoast sitemap for my website. While I go to the dashboard I am getting an error with a fix it button available but when I click on the button it does not do anything. please advise. The error message says “The following file(s) is/are blocking your XML sitemaps from working properly:
    /home/content/p3nexnas03/66/2138166/html/sitemap_index.xml
Either delete them (this can be done with the “Fix it” button) or disable WP SEO XML sitemaps.”

  • Hi,

Has anyone sorted this matter because I am experiencing exactly the same.

    Matt

just fixed it!! I reset all setting and set up the plugin from scratch. Did the trick in some way!! Sometimes I just don’t get what I am doing lol.

After deleting and doing it from the scratch works.

Still it seems to be a bug, because

    a) the Fix-it-button does not seem to fix it
    b) the sitemap_index.xml does not even exist (in my case at least)

Same problems here after last update:

    a) the Fix-it-button does not seem to fix it
    b) the sitemap_index.xml does not even exist

Finally, my sitemap_index.xml not appear on my FTP root. It seems that does not physically exist.
