• I’m hoping someone here can help. I’ve got a weird problem occurring in both FireFox and Safari where I go to save a post in WordPress after making a correction, click Save, and it doesn’t save. Click Save again, and the correction comes back. Click Save again, and it disappears! This is worst when you make two consecutive corrections—WordPress will actually lose the last correction, and keep the first one, and go back and forth.

It’s driving me nuts because I think I’ve saved stuff from a couple corrections ago, and it’s not there. I’ve disabled plugins, but to no avail. Does someone have a solution to this madness? It’s been doing this ever since we upgraded to 2.9/2.9.1, and unfortunately, it’s intermittent. I’ll be saving fine… and then it starts to do it.

  • I would try clearing all your browser settings/cache/cookies in both browsers. Then, only use one browser and see what happens.

Also, copy your post back into notepad/textedit and delete the post. Start over with creating it in WP

    Hopefully that helps

    Hi hellomatt,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried both those. It does this with new posts as well. It’s only since the 2.9 upgrade, so I’m at a bit of a loss. Also, since upgrading to 2.9, the display in the editor does not show font sizes as it used to… But that’s another issue.

Still can’t fix this. I can’t believe I’m the only one with this issue. I’ve disabled all plugins, and this behavior still occurs in Safari and FireFox.
