• Hello communities, I am encountering ttfb problem. I am from Hong Kong and establishing fitness business. My Website is extremely slow on first access but fast afterwards. Because my website is as development stage, so I can ensure that no one will access to my website. Around few hours, the first access need to takes around 40-60 second to load. And then, the website will be faster no matter I am using a new device to access. I tried to test the ttfb of first access in PageSpeed. It shows

“Lighthouse: FAILED_DOCUMENT_REQUEST. Lighthouse was unable to reliably load the page you requested. Make sure you are testing the correct URL and that the server is properly responding to all requests. net::ERR_TIMED_OUT.”

I am concerning that does my backend need to restart some program in first access? I am using astra theme with wp super cache, autoptimize and cloudflare CDN. Do anyone have same issue in first access?`

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • If you have WP Super Cache TTFB shouldn’t be an issue (and even without it 40-60s is unacceptable), you should check in with your host really ..

Its usually caused by overloaded hosting, while your site data are evicted from the caches.

    1. Get more visitors
    2. Get another better hosting
    3. Set up a script to load some of your site pages every few minutes
    4. Create more content so search engines will crawl your site
