really sorry about your issue, I want to find the solution to this problem that are affecting some other users too.

Could you please download the new version from that URL and replace with the Pixel Caffeine version you have on your website? You won’t lose anything.

After this, please click “Try again” button in the product catalog page, in order to generate again the feed file.

If no success, could you please try to create manually the folder “products-catalog” inside the wp-content/uploads folder of your installation? Then, try again to generate the feed file.

If not yet, I need other two info:
1. could you verify that the XML file is not existing really? You should find it in wp-content/uploads/product-catalogs/main-product-catalog.xml
2. with the new version, you should have a new “Logs” tab in the settings. If so, after have tried refreshing the feed file, could you please see if you have a new log rows? And if yes, please click into “Download Report” button and share me that file, so I can try to gather some information about your issue;

I tried to follow the steps you’ve suggested but nothing works.
First issue: when i checked in the upload folder i found no “products-catalog” folder.
There’s only the “pixel-caffeine” folder which can be related to your plugin, nothing else.
Second issue: when i click “try again” button, nothing happens, indeed in the log tab there’s no new row.

Many thanks for your kind help, I downloaded plugin and followed your steps, I was unsure what folder should be called as you use product-catalog and product-catalogs lol tried all combinations, no file was created I will paste log file below it gives the following error too in log file Product #4252 error: the field “description” in must not be empty. @maizie321 Your problem seems to be simply that the product with the ID 4252 hasn’t any content in the description field. It is mandatory for the feed file, otherwise, Facebook cannot parse it. So, please, set a content in the description of the product mentioned and try again.

I added some other logs in order to debug much more about the initial issue, I fear that the saving process cannot start on your server for some reason that I need to discover.

Try to download it and replace again and let me know if a new log appears after tried again to refresh.

Also a question: have you HTTP authentication on your websites? Maybe it could be one of the reasons.

So, it seems there is a bug in error message showing when you create a new product catalog. Most probably the file XML is not creating just because some product of your store doesn’t have the description field (that is mandatory in the feed) and the proper error message is not shown.

I’m going to fix this aspect in order to improve the errors communication. This is the bug I discovered and I’ll fix in the next version.

Anyway, you should have the proper error message coming out if you refresh the “Product Catalog” tab page. @nicolactw and @maizie321 could you please confirm that this is your case as well?
